What Chat Export does
Paste an answer from an AI chat or any Markdown and get a Word file, a PDF, an Excel sheet of its tables, or clean text for WhatsApp and LinkedIn.
AI chats answer in Markdown: headings with #, bold with **, tables drawn with | and -. Paste that into Word, an email or WhatsApp and you get the symbols instead of the formatting. Chat Export reads the answer the way the chat showed it and gives it back as a real document.
On a phone, tap Paste, check the preview, and tap Word, PDF or Excel. The file is built on your device and opens the share sheet, so it goes straight to Google Drive, WhatsApp or email. Tables become Excel sheets where numbers are numbers and IDs keep their leading zeros.
For chat apps, the text outputs are free and unlimited: WhatsApp formatting (*bold*, _italic_, monospace code), plain text with the ** marks removed, and text for a LinkedIn post. Works with answers copied from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or any other Markdown source; we are not affiliated with any of them.

Does Chat Export upload my data?
The text you paste is converted in your browser and is never uploaded. When you export a Word, PDF or Excel file, the page sends us a count request with a random ID for this browser and a one-way hash of your network address, for the free daily limit. These counters are deleted after 2 days. Pro checks your licence key with our licence service. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Open the page and start working. It works on desktop and mobile browsers.
How does the Pro licence work?
You pay once and receive a licence key by email from Dodo Payments (our merchant of record). Paste it under "Have a key?" inside the tool. One key works on up to 3 browsers; you can release a browser at any time to use the key elsewhere.
Is my text uploaded?
No. The answer is converted in your browser. When you make a Word, PDF or Excel file, the page only sends a count request (a random ID for this browser and a one-way hash of your network address) so the free limit of 2 files a day works. Those counters are deleted after 2 days.
Why do some characters or emoji not appear in the PDF?
The PDF embeds a font that covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters and common symbols. Emoji, and scripts that need shaping such as Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Chinese, Japanese or Korean, are not in it: the page tells you before it builds the PDF and offers a Word file, which keeps every script.
What does not convert well?
Math is kept as text, not as Word equations. Tables inside tables, merged cells and images are not supported. Very wide tables shrink the text in the PDF; Excel keeps every column.
Can I share from the AI app straight to this page?
Not yet. For now copy the answer (the copy icon under it), open this page and tap Paste. Adding it to your Home screen keeps it one tap away.
