Answer to PDF with Chat Export
The page opens with a sample support report: headings, a bulleted list, a table of numbers and a rule. Tap PDF to get an A4 or Letter PDF whose text is real text, so you can search it, select it and copy it back out, with page numbers on every page.
- Copy the answer with the copy icon under it.
- Tap Paste here and check the preview; set A4 or Letter under Options if needed.
- Tap PDF. The page downloads the font it needs once, builds the file and opens the share sheet or the download.
- Open the PDF and try searching for a word to confirm the text is selectable.
What to know
Printing a chat page to PDF usually captures the whole interface: the sidebar, the input box and cut-off tables. This page lays out only the answer, with wrapped paragraphs, headings, nested lists, shaded code blocks and tables whose header row repeats at the top of each new page. The text is written as text with an embedded font, not as a picture, so it stays searchable and accessible to copy.
The embedded font covers Latin, Greek and Cyrillic letters and common symbols. Emoji and scripts that need shaping (Arabic, Hindi, Thai, Chinese, Japanese, Korean) are not in it. Before building a PDF the page checks the answer; if it finds such characters it says which ones and offers a Word file instead, which keeps every script.
Very wide tables are fitted to the page width with smaller text and wrapped cells. If a table has many columns, Excel is the better format for it. Free PDFs have a one-line footer and page numbers; Pro removes the footer and adds wider or narrower margins, a title page and coloured code.

Can I select and search the text in the PDF?
Yes. The PDF contains real text with an embedded font and a character map, so search, copy and screen readers that read PDF text work.
Why are emoji missing from my PDF?
The embedded font has no emoji. The page tells you how many were left out; the Word file keeps them.
Can I choose A4 or Letter?
Yes, under Options, for free. The page starts with Letter in browsers set to US or Canadian English and A4 elsewhere.
Do links stay clickable?
Yes. Links in the answer are underlined and clickable in the PDF.
