Markdown to Word with Chat Export
The page opens with a short Markdown note that has a heading, a fenced JavaScript code block and a bulleted list with inline code. Tap Word to get a .docx; you can also open your own .md file or drop it on the page on a computer.

What to know
The converter follows GitHub Flavored Markdown: ATX headings (#), emphasis, strikethrough, links, block quotes, ordered and unordered lists with nesting, task lists, tables with column alignment and fenced code blocks. Each element becomes a native Word construct: Heading 1 to 6 styles, Word numbering for lists, Word tables with a repeating header row and alignment, and a Source Code paragraph style for code.
Because the output uses Word's standard style names, tools that read documents structurally, such as pandoc, LibreOffice or a screen reader, see the same structure you wrote. The output is tested by converting it back with pandoc and LibreOffice and checking that heading levels, list nesting and table cells match the source.
Raw HTML inside Markdown is reduced to its text, images become a short [alt text] placeholder, and math blocks ($$...$$) are kept as centred text rather than Word equations. Front matter is not interpreted. Files up to 2 MB can be opened; free exports cover 20,000 characters.

Which Markdown features are supported?

Is my .md file uploaded?
No. The file is read and converted in your browser. Only a count request is sent for the free daily limit.
Can I change the font?
The free file uses Calibri, which you can change in Word through the styles. Pro lets you pick Georgia, Arial or Times New Roman and the margins before exporting.
Are images included?
No. Images in Markdown become a short placeholder with their alt text.
