Signature between 10 and 20 KB from a photo of your signature on paper

Signature 10-20 KB with Upload Fitter

This page opens with a Signature 10-20 KB rule. Photograph your signature on plain paper and the tool fits it into the range. With Pro, signature cleanup makes the paper pure white, darkens the ink and crops to the signature first. Try a sample loads the signature of John Doe.

  1. Sign on plain white paper with a dark pen and take the photo in daylight, straight from above.
  2. Tap Choose photos and pick the photo.
  3. Optional (Pro): switch on Clean up the signature for a white background cropped to the ink.
  4. Check the preview, then download or share the JPG when the badge says Fits.

What to know

A signature photo is mostly paper. On its own, the fitter keeps the whole photo, shadows and all, and fits it into 10-20 KB. Signature cleanup (Pro) first finds the paper level, turns everything that light into pure white, darkens the strokes with a soft curve so thin lines survive, and crops to the ink with a small margin. A white background compresses much better, so more of the bytes go to the strokes.

Common reasons a signature is refused: a grey or yellow background, the signature too small in the frame, or a size outside the range. Fill the frame with the signature, avoid the shadow of the phone, and if the form gives a pixel size, enter it in Custom.

Questions

Do I need Pro for this?

No. Free fits the signature photo into 10-20 KB as it is. Pro adds the cleanup step (white background, darker ink, crop to the ink).

Will cleanup change my signature?

It changes only brightness and contrast and crops the empty paper around it. The strokes are not redrawn or smoothed. Compare After and Before before you download.

Why is the file a little under the limit, not exactly on it?

Each try is a finished file. The tool keeps the highest JPEG quality whose file is at or under the maximum, so it usually lands a few kilobytes below it. It counts the maximum as 1,000 bytes per KB, the stricter reading, so the file also passes a form that counts 1,024.

Are my photos sent anywhere?

No. They are read and encoded in your browser. When you download or share, the page sends only a count request (a random ID for this browser and a one-way hash of your network address, deleted after 2 days) for the free daily limit.

The free plan covers everything on this page. Upload Fitter Pro ($9.50 until Oct 25, then $19, paid once) is described on the Upload Fitter page.
