What to know
Reviews are asked for at the moment of a good experience, and a QR code removes every step between "sure, I will leave a review" and the review box. The code only needs your review link, which Google gives you in the Business Profile ("Get more reviews") or which you can build as https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= followed by your Place ID.
Put the code where happy customers already look: the receipt, the card that comes with the order, the counter. Ask directly, in one short sentence. A trackable code adds a scan count, so after a week you know whether the receipt or the counter gets more attention.
Ask for honest reviews and do not offer a reward in exchange for them; review platforms prohibit incentivised reviews. Review sites also prohibit asking only happy customers, so make the request to everyone, and reply to every review you receive, good or bad, in a calm and specific way.
