Zebra / thermal with Labelsheet
This page opens on 2 x 1 inch thermal labels with a list of bin codes. Each PDF page is exactly one label, which is how thermal printer drivers expect a PDF, so printing a list is the same as printing any document: no ZPL, no label software.
- Paste your codes or number a series.
- Pick your roll size on the Labels tab: 2 x 1, 2.25 x 1.25, 4 x 6, Dymo 11354 or Dymo 30252.
- Download the PDF and open it.
- In the print dialog choose the thermal printer, set the paper size to the label size and print at 100%.
What to know
Thermal printers work best when the PDF page size equals the label, because the driver then prints one label per page without scaling. That is how this PDF is built. If the printer is set to a different stock in its driver preferences, labels are scaled or split across two labels, so set the label size once in the driver (for Zebra on Windows: Printing Preferences, Page Setup; on a Mac: the paper size in the print dialog).
Direct thermal labels fade in heat and sunlight over months, which is fine for shipping and bin labels and wrong for assets that must last years; for those, use thermal-transfer labels with a ribbon. Code 128 at 2 inches wide holds about 15 characters comfortably. If your codes are longer, switch to QR on the same roll, which also leaves room for a text line next to the code.

Questions
Do I need ZPL or Zebra Designer?
No. Any driver that prints a PDF works. ZPL is only needed if you send raw commands to the printer.
Why is my label printing on two labels?
The driver paper size does not match the label. Set it to the label size (for example 2 x 1 inch) and print at 100%.
Does it work with Rollo and MUNBYN printers?
Yes, they print PDFs at the label size like Zebra. Use the matching roll size here.
Can I print a whole list at once?
The free plan prints the first 10 labels of a roll job; Pro prints the whole list as one PDF.
The free plan covers everything on this page. Labelsheet Pro ($5/mo, billed monthly) is described on the Labelsheet page.
