Story points keep missing? Estimate live with your team, then check them against what actually shipped.

What Sprint Poker does

Estimate together live, then see how close your story points came to what shipped.

Most teams vote on story points every sprint and never look back, so the estimates never get better. Sprint Poker runs the estimation session and keeps the record, so you can check your numbers against what actually shipped.

Starting takes five seconds: type your name, press Enter and share the link. Nobody signs up, and there is no limit on players, rooms or rounds. Teammates join from the link with a display name, as voters or as spectators who watch without voting.

Votes stay hidden until the reveal, and the page is not what hides them. The database security rules only let each person read their own vote until the facilitator reveals the round, so nobody can anchor on the loudest number, not even by opening the browser's developer tools. Every player sees a live 'has voted' mark instead.

Paste your backlog one issue per line, or drop a Jira, Linear or GitHub CSV export: issue keys and titles are detected automatically, and the facilitator drags stories into order. After each reveal you get the average, median and spread, a consensus badge, and a prompt naming who to ask when votes are far apart. Re-vote keeps the earlier rounds, and the session summary exports to CSV.

When the sprint is over, open Calibration and drop an export of what actually happened: issue key plus cycle time, start and done dates, or actual points. The file is read in your browser. Your latest sprint's estimate-versus-cycle-time chart is free. Sprint Poker Pro ($29 once, no subscription, players never pay) adds the trend across every sprint, how long each card value really takes, reference stories while you vote, and a permanent team space.

Questions

Is Sprint Poker free?

Yes, with no account and no install. The free plan includes: Unlimited rooms, players and rounds; rooms stay at their link for 90 days after last use; Decks: Fibonacci, modified Fibonacci, T-shirt, powers of 2, plus a custom deck per room; Votes hidden by database security rules until the facilitator reveals; live 'has voted' indicators; Facilitator controls: reveal, re-vote, skip, final estimate, countdown timer (30s to 5m) with auto-reveal; and 8 more. Pro ($29, paid once) adds: Team space: every session saved permanently under a named team (free keeps the 3 most recent sessions in view); Calibration across sprints: the cycle-time range for each card value ('your 5s take 3-9 days') and sprint-over-sprint drift; Reference stories while voting: past stories finished at the card you are hovering, with their real cycle time; Velocity history chart across sessions; and 2 more.

Does Sprint Poker upload my data?

Yes, while you estimate together. The room name, the display names people type, stories and votes are stored in Google Firebase in the United States so everyone in the room sees them live; a room idle for 90 days is deleted. Pro team spaces keep session summaries and imported cycle times until the owner deletes the team. See the Privacy Policy for retention and deletion.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Open the page and start working. It works on desktop and mobile browsers.

How does the Pro licence work?

You pay once and receive a licence key by email from Dodo Payments (our merchant of record). Paste it under "Have a key?" inside the tool. One key works on up to 3 browsers; you can release a browser at any time to use the key elsewhere.

Do my teammates need an account?

No. Everyone joins from the link with a display name. Rooms use anonymous sign-in behind the scenes, which creates a random identifier and nothing else.

Can anyone see my vote before the reveal?

No. Database security rules keep each vote readable only by the person who cast it until the facilitator reveals that round. Hiding it in the page is not what protects it, so a teammate cannot peek even with developer tools.

What does Calibration need from me?

A CSV export with an issue key and either a cycle time in days, start and done dates, or actual story points. It is parsed in your browser. Only the per-issue numbers you import are kept: in this browser, and in your team space if you use Pro.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. It is $29 once per facilitator, and the key works in up to 3 browsers. Players never pay, and every free feature stays free.

What happens if I clear my browser?

Your rooms stay at their links for 90 days after last use. To restore Pro, open the room menu, choose Restore purchase and paste your licence key. Pro team spaces are kept on the server, so reconnecting with your team link brings every saved session back.

Can I use T-shirt sizes or my own deck?

Yes. Pick Fibonacci, modified Fibonacci, T-shirt sizes or powers of 2, or type your own cards for the room. With Pro you can save custom decks to your team.
