See a site you love? Hand its design to an AI.
Specsheet reads the page you are on and writes a Markdown brief: exact colours, fonts, spacing, radii, shadows, components and section layout, with screenshots. Upload it to Claude and ask it to rebuild the look for your own project.

What a brief looks like
This is a real capture of this site. The colours are named by role so an AI can use them correctly, not just listed.

Chrome, Edge, Brave: unzip the file, open chrome://extensions, switch on Developer mode, press “Load unpacked” and choose the folder.
Firefox: unzip the file, open about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox, press “Load Temporary Add-on” and choose manifest.json. Temporary add-ons are removed when Firefox restarts; the Add-ons listing removes that limit.
Questions
Do you store my data on your servers?
No. We do not store your data on our servers. What you capture, save, type or convert stays in your browser. The only thing the extension sends us is, for Pro, your licence key (to unlock, to check it once a day and to release a browser); we pass it to our payment provider and do not keep it in a database of ours.
What does Specsheet capture?
The page you are on: colours (by role), fonts, type sizes and weights, spacing, corner radii, shadows, buttons, inputs, cards, header and footer, the page sections top to bottom, CSS variables, plus a viewport screenshot and a full-page screenshot. You can also click a single component and capture only that.
Does it send the page to you?
No. Capturing runs inside your browser and the files are built on your device. The only network call is the Pro licence check, which sends your licence key and nothing about the page.
Is it OK to rebuild someone else’s site?
Use a brief as inspiration for your own site: the look, spacing and structure. Do not copy logos, trademarks, product names or text. Specsheet’s instructions tell the AI to replace all brand names, logos and copy.
What do I do with the files?
Drop DESIGN.md and the screenshots into Claude (or any AI that takes files), paste the short prompt the extension copies for you, and ask it to rebuild the page in your framework.
Can it capture a whole site?
Yes, in Pro. Specsheet lists the site’s main pages, you tick the ones you want (or add your own URLs), and it opens each in a separate window, captures it and writes one brief for the whole site plus one per page. Pages behind a login work if you are signed in. Your browser asks first for access to all websites, because that is the only permission that lets an extension screenshot other pages. Specsheet only opens the pages you ticked.
What about the images on the site?
Specsheet does not copy them. It finds every image slot, makes a dummy placeholder (an SVG with the same size, corner radius and shape) and tells the AI where each one goes, so you can drop in your own pictures later.
What is in Pro?
Whole-site capture, Tailwind config, CSS variables, a Flutter ThemeData file and a JSON token file with every capture, plus unlimited captures and element picks. Free gives you 5 captures a day. Pro is one payment, no subscription, and works in up to 3 browsers.
Chrome and Firefox?
Both. The Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons listings are in review, so for now you can install the files from this page in a minute.
Use briefs as inspiration for your own work. Do not copy logos, trademarks or text. See the privacy policy and terms.
