How well does your resume match this job? Know before you apply.

Open any job. Jobfit compares the job description with your resume, lists the keywords the job wants that yours is missing, and checks that an ATS can read your resume. Then it fills in the application for you.

We do not store your data on our servers. Free, no account, no AI. Your resume stays in your browser. Store listings are in review; install from the files in about a minute (steps below).

  3. 3. Fill the applicationOne click fills the empty fields. You check it and press submit.

The match report

Jobfit popup showing a strong match score of 94, the skills breakdown, missing keywords and the nice-to-have list

It reads the requirements the way a recruiter\u2019s search would, and shows the facts:

  • Keyword match from 0 to 100, weighted toward what the job requires and counting synonyms (k8s is Kubernetes, JS is JavaScript).
  • Missing terms the job asks for, split into required and nice-to-have, so you know what to add if it is true for you.
  • Title, years of experience and education compared with what the job asks.
  • Can an ATS read it? Email and phone as text, standard headings, dates, a real text layer. A scanned picture of a resume gets flagged.
  • Best of your resumes (Pro): keep one per kind of role and see which fits this job best.
About \u201cATS score\u201d. There is no universal ATS score, and most hiring systems do not auto-reject on a number. Any site that gives you one is showing its own estimate. Jobfit calls it what it is, a keyword match, and shows you exactly which words drive it.

Autofill that stays on your computer

Save your details once. On an application form, press Fill this application: name, contact details, links, work-authorisation answers and your resume file go in. It never submits, never fills passwords, never overwrites what you typed, and tells you what it left for you. Free and unlimited.

Anything it cannot safely answer, like a cover letter or an unusual question, is listed for you to do yourself. Pro adds saved answers for questions that repeat, such as \u201cWhy do you want to work here?\u201d, and logs each filled application to your saved jobs with its match score.

Questions

Do you store my data on your servers?

No. We do not store your data on our servers. Your resumes, profile, saved answers and saved jobs stay in your browser, and the matching happens on your device. The only thing the extension sends us is, for Pro, your licence key (to unlock, to check it once a day and to release a browser); we pass it to our payment provider and do not keep it in a database of ours.

Is the score an ATS score?

No, and no tool can honestly give you one. There is no universal ATS score, and most hiring systems do not auto-reject on a number. Jobfit gives a keyword match: how much of what the job asks for appears in your resume, weighted by required versus nice-to-have, plus title, years of experience and education. It also checks that an ATS can read your resume at all. That is what actually decides whether a recruiter’s search finds you.

Which job sites does it work on?

Any page that shows a job description. It reads LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor and company career pages directly; if it cannot find the description on a page, you paste it in. The match needs only the text of the job, so it works for any employer, not only startups.

Does it use AI?

No. The matching is a set of fixed rules on your device, so it costs nothing to run, gives the same answer each time and never sends your resume anywhere. It will not rewrite your resume for you; it tells you what the job asks for that your resume does not mention, so you can add what is true.

What file types can I use for my resume?

PDF, Word (.docx) and plain text. If your PDF is a scanned picture with no text, Jobfit tells you, because an ATS would see a blank page.

Can it fill in applications?

Yes, free and unlimited. Save your details once, open an application form and press Fill this application. It fills empty fields it recognises (name, contact, links, work-authorisation answers, your resume file), never overwrites what you typed, never fills passwords and never submits. It lists what it left for you to check. Pro adds saved answers for questions that repeat and logs each filled application to your saved jobs.

What is in Pro?

Unlimited match reports (free gives 5 a day), up to 5 resumes with a ranking of which one fits each job best, saved answers, automatic logging of filled applications, and recheck and CSV export for your saved jobs. Pro is one payment, no subscription, and works in up to 3 browsers.

What is the "still open" check?

A small extra: if the company posts its jobs on Greenhouse, Ashby, Lever or Workable, Jobfit can tell you whether the job is still listed there and when it was first published. Many large employers use other systems, so for those it says it cannot verify.

Chrome and Firefox?

Both. The Chrome Web Store and Firefox Add-ons listings are in review, so for now you can install the files from this page in a minute.

See the privacy policy and terms. Jobfit is an independent tool and is not affiliated with LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor or any employer or applicant tracking system.
